Welcome to FretQuest. We are a digital training engine committed to helping musicians master their instruments through neural reflex training. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it in accordance with applicable laws in Europe and the UK.

- Performance Data: BPM challenge results, fretboard identification speeds (in milliseconds), and drill accuracy.
- Payment Data: Transaction details handled through secure providers (GBP).
- Technical Data: IP address, device type, and interaction logs.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to fuel the FretQuest engine and track your progress. Specifically, we use it to: provide access to training modules, calculate your fluency analytics, manage leaderboards, process payments, and send technical updates about the platform.
4. Legal Bases (UK & EU)
Under UK and EU GDPR, we process your data based on: your consent (e.g., for analytics), performance of a contract (providing you with training services), and our legitimate interests in maintaining a secure and competitive training environment.

FretQuest™ may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to improve platform performance, understand visitor behavior, and enhance user experience. These technologies may collect anonymized usage information such as page visits, session duration, device type, and interaction patterns.
6. Payments
FretQuest transactions are processed in GBP. We do not store your full card details; payment information is handled via PCI-compliant third-party processors to ensure maximum security for our musicians. FretQuest is built on competition. By participating in challenges, your username and performance metrics (latency and accuracy) will be visible on global and local leaderboards. This data is essential for our ranking system.
8. Data Retention
We store your performance history as long as your account is active so you can track your long-term fluency progression. You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

While we operate in Europe/London time, FretQuest uses global cloud infrastructure. We ensure that any data transferred outside the UK or EEA is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved legal safeguards.
10. Data Security
We employ technical and organisational measures to protect your neural performance data and personal details from unauthorised access, including encryption and strict access controls. By joining the waitlist, founder program, or early-access community, you consent to receiving platform updates, launch information, and development-related communications from FretQuest™. Users may unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.
